Right Direction : Men's Workshop & Therapy
Many men experience chronic stress, emotional shutdown, irritability, or disconnection without having practical tools to address it. This group is designed to change that.
Through guided discussion, practical exercises, and evidence-based psycho-education, participants will:
● Learn how emotions and stress affect the body and nervous system
● Build skills for emotional regulation and resilience
● Improve communication, boundaries, and conflict management
● Develop healthier alternatives to avoidance or addictive coping
● Strengthen relationships with partners, children, and others
● Reconnect with values, purpose, joy, and personal meaning
● Create sustainable self-care and lifestyle habits
The group is trauma-informed, non-judgmental, and focused on practical skills rather than venting or advice-giving. No previous therapy experience is required. This group is suitable for men navigating stress, relationships, parenting, life transitions, or simply wanting to live with greater clarity, confidence, and emotional balance.
Right Direction is facilitated by George Russu who is a husband and father. George holds a Diploma of Applied Psychology and Counselling. He is currently working towards becoming a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor. After his own experiences being a new father and husband in the current world, George recognizes the need for men to have a space to learn and practice emotional intelligence, and create a healthy landscape in their mind. Right Direction is designed to do just that.
