Wendy Ward, RTC
Caregiver Burnout, Life Transitions, Emotional Support Counsellor

About Wendy.

Wendy is warm, grounded, and easy to talk to. She understands how difficult it can be to keep going when you are constantly caring for others. With nearly a decade of experience working within the school system as a Certified Education Assistant (CEA), Wendy brings both professional insight and real-world understanding into her counselling work.

In addition to her counselling practice, Wendy has created her own line of therapeutic aromatherapy, reflecting her holistic approach to emotional well-being and self-care. As a caregiver herself and a helping professional, Wendy understands the burnout, emotional strain, and pressure that often come with supporting others. She recognizes the importance of caregivers receiving support as well—because those who care for others need care too.

Wendy understands that therapy can be beneficial at any stage of life. She welcomes individuals of all ages, including seniors, who are seeking support, insight, and meaningful change.

Wendy is a Registered Therapy Counsellor with ACCT (Registration #4130).

About You.

You spend much of your time caring for others, and somewhere along the way, you began putting yourself last. You may feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. You know there is more to life than simply getting through each day—you just aren’t sure how to reach it yet.

You might be navigating caregiver burnout, stress, life transitions, or challenges connected to the school system, work, or relationships. You want support that feels understanding, practical, and genuine. You’re ready to move forward, even if the path isn’t completely clear—and that’s okay. You don’t have to do it alone.

Wendy offers online or in-person sessions - it's up to you!

It's best to book a consultation with a new therapist to ensure that you can connect with them, and they with you. A strong, mutually respectful counsellor-client relationship is essential for real change to happen. A consultation with Wendy is usually 30 minutes.
