Family, Relationships Counsellor

About Nicole.

Nicole brings over 30 years of experience to her role as a Clinical Counsellor. She sees each person as a unique individual to be understood and supported, holding space for the complexity of life. She sees problems as both a source of potential growth as well as issues that may be solved. Influenced by Process-Oriented Counselling and Humanistic approaches, she can support your deep personal reflection and healing, as well as provide straightforward suggestions and collaborative problem-solving.

Specializing in Integrative Psychotherapy, Nicole provides individual counselling that supports navigating and processing relationships with others and self. This can include overcoming a difficult childhood, dealing with estranged or problematic relationships, and breaking family patterns. It can also include understanding relationships with partners, ex-partners, and children of any age, parents of any age, in-laws, or others. She sees the benefit of using your experience as a parent, child, sibling, or other to facilitate profound growth in yourself. And, uses communication skills, boundary setting, and practical strategies to help face difficult conversations and decisions.

Nicole is a Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling with CPCA #3902

About Your Child.

Relationships are essential to all of us. Yet, they can cause the deepest pain and the greatest struggles in our life. You want to deepen your understanding of yourself and others; to manage your own thoughts, feelings, and reactions; and to participate in opportunities for growth.

You want to relate to yourself and others in a way that you can feel proud of. Nicole’s style is direct and compassionate. This can be well-suited if you have a lot of experience in therapy already, or if you work in the field. It’s also fine if you don’t. Maybe you have already overcome a lot and have a good understanding of yourself but want support to go further using your awareness and insight to guide decision-making and communication.
For clients who desire it, she is happy to explore alternative spiritual and meditative practices in the therapeutic process.
