Chrissy Lwowski, RTC
Relationship, Family &
Youth Counsellor
About Chrissy.
Chrissy is a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) who works with individuals, youth, and families navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. Her work is grounded in attachment theory and trauma-informed care, and supported by somatic, cognitive-behavioural (CBT), dialectical behaviour (DBT), and solution-focused approaches.

Chrissy help guide clients to understand how their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and nervous system responses shape their daily experiences. Through this process, clients develop greater awareness of patterns that may be keeping them stuck and begin building new ways of responding to challenges.
Her approach blends compassion with curiosity, creating a calm and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, strengthen relationships, and deepen self-understanding. Chrissy works collaboratively with clients to support insight, emotional regulation, and practical strategies that foster meaningful and lasting change.

With additional training in suicide intervention and crisis prevention, she brings steadiness and care to each session, offering support through both periods of growth and the moments that can feel difficult to navigate alone.

About You.
You may be navigating relationship challenges, feeling overwhelmed by stress or life transitions, or noticing patterns in your relationships that you would like to better understand. Sometimes it can feel difficult to slow down and make sense of what you’re experiencing on your own.

Counselling offers a space to step back, explore what may be happening beneath the surface, and develop new ways of responding to challenges. Together, we focus on building awareness, strengthening emotional regulation, and supporting the changes that feel meaningful in your life.

The goal of our work is not simply to talk about difficulties, but to develop insight, skills, and confidence so you can move through life’s challenges with greater clarity and self-trust.
Chrissy is especially interested and experienced in supporting youth & families.
In addition to her counselling work, Chrissy brings extensive experience supporting youth in a variety of community settings. She has worked as a Certified Education Assistant (CEA) in school environments and within Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) supported residential group settings, supporting youth with complex needs, special needs, and high-risk behaviours. She has also worked in an emergency youth shelter supporting adolescents during times of crisis and instability.

These experiences have provided her with a strong understanding of the realities many young people face and the importance of creating spaces where youth feel safe, respected, and genuinely heard. Her work is grounded in trauma-informed care, with a focus on building safety, trust, and meaningful connection.

Chrissy also holds certification in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and MANDT de-escalation training, equipping her to respond with steadiness and care during moments of high emotional intensity or crisis. She works with youth to build emotional awareness and resilience while also supporting parents in strengthening communication and connection within the family system.
